We launched Citadel due to our frustration with the complexity of cloud platforms.
Building infrastructure for small businesses and startups that require scalability and security was largely the same across companies, yet it still demanded many engineering hours to develop and maintain.
Although we still believe this is the case today, we failed to realize our vision by not approaching the problem correctly and not finding a market for it.
